Our Hero Helmet is cast from the original 1976 moulds, the original range is the most accurate replica of the on-screen stormtroopers. The Hero helmet was used by the leading actors and incorporates a number of distinct facial characteristics.

[DID YOU KNOW]

One of the lesser understood facts with the Helmets is that they are not symmetrical… Back when Andrew made the mouldings there was no CNC machines or AUTO CAD, even Velcro was a new idea, it's amazing how anything got done back then. The original mould of the helmet is a two-part handmade mould and when Andrew first made the moulds they did not fit together, Because Andrew literally had 2 days before the helmets were needed to be completed, he shaved off one side until the moulds fitted together, and there it is the unsymmetrical helmet was born…

Stormtrooper Hero Helmet

Went to see the original Star Wars A New Hope as a wild eyed kid and have been a massive fan ever since. Treated myself to the Hero Helmet and it arrived today. I could not be happier with the helmet and it is a fantastic piece of craftsmanship. Service was great too with quick delivery and it was well packaged. Now looking forward to my 50th Birthday later this year and adding the Dark Lord Helmet to my collection.

My wife bought me the hero helmet for our wedding anniversary. I couldn't be happier! Life long dream to own a trooper helmet fulfilled! The helmet is asymmetrical as it should be and wonky in the correct places, almost exactly as seen on screen (the only part I can see which isn't accurate are the four ear bumps rather than three). I've seen official licensed versions of this helmet and they pale in comparison to Shepperton's. I also cannot praise the staff at SDS enough... Even though my wife had ordered the helmet on its own, the lady I spoke to allowed me to buy the Perspex display case at the bundle price. Excellent service! I will be purchasing the stunt helmet as soon as funds allow and will no doubt also be purchasing the TIE pilot bust as well. Well done SDS
